This is an onsite position. We are relocating to Mississauga, and during the transition, you'll have the flexibility to work from both Aurora and Mississauga offices. For the first few months, some time in Aurora will be helpful for onboarding and training.

What You Will Do

At Volvo Financial Services, you will contribute to transforming our company, the transport industry, and society. You will analyze prospective customer profiles, make credit decisions, and provide recommendations on truck, construction, and coach market financing & lease transactions. You will support VFS Canada's mission to be the premier captive finance company in Canada. This role reports to the Manager, Retail Credit Team Canada. Our team is eager to support you every step of the way.

You Will Also

• Manage a portfolio of fleet accounts and adjudicate credit submissions for truck, coach, and construction transactions.
• Support dealers, customers, and District Financial Managers with timely credit underwriting.
• Perform loss analysis projections on fleet transactions.
• Review financial statements and credit data to generate assessments.
• Approve credit submissions within delegated authorities and document decisions.
• Present files outside delegated authority to credit committees.
• Negotiate documentation and legal reviews for credit agreements.
• Interact extensively with sales, dealers, and customers to negotiate transactions and communicate decisions.
• Stay updated on Volvo, Mack, and Prevost products and finance programs.
• Participate in system enhancements and testing.
• Travel occasionally to meet with fleet customers.
• Assist in developing and implementing retail credit programs.
• Utilize pricing tools and T-Value for deal structuring.
• Support scorecard transactions, syndications, and workouts as needed.
• Perform administrative duties as delegated.

Who Are You?

We value big ambitions. To succeed in this role, you should have:

• An undergraduate degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, Economics, or equivalent experience.
• 3-5 years of experience in mid to large-ticket commercial credit adjudication, preferably in equipment finance.
• Experience in the automotive finance industry is an asset.
• A proven track record in structuring commercial transactions in asset-based lending.
• Knowledge of Business, Customer Service, Credit, Legal, Collections, and Vendor Management.
• Ability to work independently, exercise sound judgment, and manage multiple transactions in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong financial statement analysis and financial ratio skills.
• Excellent presentation, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
• Understanding of security documentation, PPSA, and RDPRM registration requirements.
• Proactive in contributing to continuous improvement projects.
• Excellent English communication skills; bilingual skills are a plus.
• Proficient in MS Office tools.
• A valid driver’s license with a clean record.
