Responsibilities & Tasks
Plan or adjust routes based on changing conditions, using computer equipment, GPS, or other navigation devices, to minimize fuel consumption and emissions.
Address customers' complaints or concerns.
Demonstrate mountain driving expertise.
Maintain professionalism in customer service.
Arrange travel, related itineraries, and make reservations.
Drive lighter, special purpose trucks.
Operate and drive straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials.
Pay and receive payments for goods.
Perform emergency roadside repairs.
Conduct pre-trip, en route, and post-trip inspections and oversee all vehicle aspects.
Perform preventive maintenance.
Record cargo information, hours of service, distance traveled, and fuel consumption.
