Qualifications

  • 7+ years experience with industrial stationary equipment, preferably in mining.

  • Must have valid driver’s license.

Fixed Plant Maintenance Supervisor

Our Client runs an operationconsisting of an open pit and one of the largest underground mines in Canada.

Job Description:

Working a fourteen (14) day on fourteen (14) day off rotation at the mine site, the successful candidate will be responsible for leading and directing the Fixed Plant Maintenance Crews, while ensuring they work in a safe and productive manner.

Major areas of responsibility include the application of maintenance practices in alignment with client business objectives, maintenance strategy, and production goals, during the daily execution of maintenance activities on Hoist and Fixed Plant equipment. Actively implement and execute maintenance plans in a rapidly changing mining environment. This position facilitates the safety of staff and the environment, while communicating on a regular basis about equipment performance including availability, reliability, ameliorating problems, and cost.

Qualifications:

  • Certified Interprovincial Millwright Certificate, or Mechanical Technologist / Mechanical Engineering / Mining Engineering Diploma;
  • Minimum 7 years experience with industrial stationary equipment, preferably in mining; and at least 2 years experience in Maintenance or Operations in a supervisory role.
  • Must be familiar with Mine Hoist equipment;
  • Aptitude for quickly learning and adapting to new computer programs;
  • Possess effective coaching, mentoring delegating, and communication skills
  • Valid drivers license.
