Job summary

Fit4Less Canada is hiring a Host to deliver friendly customer and membership services while maintaining club cleanliness and safety. You will engage with members on the floor, explain memberships, and help with automated processes in a fast-paced gym setting.

The ideal candidate has a high school diploma (or working toward it), at least 1 year of teamwork or volunteer experience, and solid verbal and written communication skills. WHMIS, First Aid, and CPR-A with AED certification are valued.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Perform cleaning tasks to defined standards and daily maintenance to ensure safety and cleanliness in the club.
• Provide friendly customer interaction on the workout floor and assist members with questions.
• Promote club amenities and memberships while maintaining a courteous workplace.
• Complete daily, weekly, and monthly tasks and training, reporting deficiencies as needed.
• Assist with access to club and educate members on automated and virtual options.
• Support membership management and help members navigate processes.

Job Summary:

Performs and completes cleanliness tasks and duties to ensure safety for everyone in the club to deliver consistent cleanliness for members, associates and prospective members.:

• Cleans and tidies to the cleanliness standards and expectations as outlined
• in cleaning and inspection guidelines.
• Provides friendly customer interaction when cleanliness tasks are being completed on the workout floor.
• Contributes to the everybody cleans mindset.
• Completes and reads daily, weekly and monthly cleanliness tasks, communications and training to achieve standard expectations.
• Informs and reports deficiencies using standard guideline expectations to engage appropriate actions, individuals and resolutions.
  
  

Provides friendly customer service that follow Fit4Less guidelines, processes and procedures to deliver consistent service to members and prospective members.:

• Welcomes everybody warmly in the club with hi, bye and thank you.
• Helps and educates members and guests with memberships, amenities, automation and processes.
• Promotes black card amenities and memberships.
• Contributes to a courteous and friendly workplace environment to meet Fit4Less’ brand and required expectations.
• Completes tasks and responsibilities by the set timelines.
• Completes and reads daily, weekly and monthly tasks, communications and training to standard expectations.
• Informs and works with the manager for progress relating to customer service and escalation support.
• Addresses, informs and reports incidents of concern using the standard process expectations.
  
  

Sells and suggests memberships and provides assistance for membership management to support Fit4Less purpose.

Assists and provides appropriate access to and within the club to educate on automated and virtual options and the processes to allow a member to experience an automated way to utilize the club and their membership.

• 1 year teamwork and/or volunteer experience
• Verbal communication skills

Compensation:

The selected candidate will be paid minimum wage. The expected annual total compensation is $8,800 determined by the expected total number of scheduled hours per year.
