Job summary

Fit4Less Canada is hiring a Host to provide friendly customer and membership services while performing daily cleaning and minor maintenance tasks to uphold the brand standards. You will engage with members on the gym floor, assist with memberships, and promote club amenities.

The role emphasizes a courteous, efficient service mindset and adherence to daily/weekly task schedules, ensuring safety and a welcoming gym environment.

Qualifications

• Verbal communication skills are required.
• Written communication skills are required.
• 1 year teamwork and/or volunteer experience preferred.
• High School diploma or in-progress is expected.
• WHMIS certification is preferred.
• First Aid, CPR-A & AED certification is required.

Responsibilities

• Clean and tidy to established cleanliness standards.
• Interact with members during cleaning on the workout floor.
• Sell and assist with memberships and provide membership information.
• Train and inform members about amenities, automation, and processes.
• Follow daily, weekly, and monthly cleanliness tasks and reporting guidelines.
• Report incidents using standard procedures to involve appropriate actions.

Who is a Host?

The Host provides friendly customer and membership services and completes daily cleaning and minor maintenance tasks to standards and expectations to deliver Fit4Less’ friendly, clean, and automated brand.

Job Summary:

Performs and completes cleanliness tasks and duties to ensure safety for everyone in the club to deliver consistent cleanliness for members, associates and prospective members.

• Cleans and tidies to the cleanliness standards and expectations as outlined
• in cleaning and inspection guidelines.
• Provides friendly customer interaction when cleanliness tasks are being completed on the workout floor.
• Contributes to the everybody cleans mindset.
• Completes and reads daily, weekly and monthly cleanliness tasks, communications and training to achieve standard expectations.
• Informs and reports deficiencies using standard guideline expectations to engage appropriate actions, individuals and resolutions.

Provides friendly customer service that follow Fit4Less guidelines, processes and procedures to deliver consistent service to members and prospective members.

• Welcomes everybody warmly in the club with hi, bye and thank you.
• Helps and educates members and guests with memberships, amenities, automation and processes.
• Promotes black card amenities and memberships.
• Contributes to a courteous and friendly workplace environment to meet Fit4Less’ brand and required expectations.
• Completes tasks and responsibilities by the set timelines.
• Completes and reads daily, weekly and monthly tasks, communications and training to standard expectations.
• Informs and works with the manager for progress relating to customer service and escalation support.
• Addresses, informs and reports incidents of concern using the standard process expectations.

Sells and suggests memberships and provides assistance for membership management to support Fit4Less purpose.

Assists and provides appropriate access to and within the club to educate on automated and virtual options and the processes to allow a member to experience an automated way to utilize the club and their membership.

• High School diploma, or working toward completion.
• 1 year teamwork and/or volunteer experience
• Verbal communication skills
• Written communication skills
• WHMIS
• First Aid, CPR-A & AED Certification

Compensation:

The selected candidate will be paid minimum wage. The expected annual total compensation is $14,200 determined by the expected total number of scheduled hours per year.
