Who is a Fit4Less Financial Analyst?

The Financial Analyst is responsible for analyzing all Fit4Less expenses to ensure accuracy and to recommend cost-saving strategies. This role involves creating and maintaining detailed budgets for cost items and selected revenue streams across all clubs and departments within the Fit4Less group. The analyst also handles reporting and analysis related to these budgets and financial statements.

Job Summary:

The analyst examines variances in financial and operational expenses by integrating financial statement data with operational metrics to understand discrepancies. They summarize these findings and communicate them to relevant business units.

  • Performs analysis for the Director of Finance to develop strategic plans with department leaders regarding successes, opportunities, and deficiencies.
  • Assists in correcting errors in Financial Statements in collaboration with the finance team.

Develops and updates financial and operational models to support strategic decision-making related to budgeting, revenue optimization, and cost control initiatives.

  • Creates ad hoc reports for cost-saving initiatives and collaborates with teams to implement them.
  • Assists in preparing Proforma budgets for pilot projects and compares them to actual results.
  • Provides recommendations based on analysis.

Prepares budgets and forecasts using historical data and guidance from business leaders to establish targets and monitor business performance.

  • Maintains reporting systems and analysis tools for senior management decision-making.
  • Regularly updates forecasts by comparing actual revenue and expenses against projections.

Our Ideal Candidate:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Administration, Finance, or Accounting.
  • At least 1 year of relevant experience in financial or data analysis.
  • Enrolled in CPA program.
  • Basic experience with accounting/finance software (e.g., Prophix, Tableau, Microsoft Great Plains) and SQL.
  • Intermediate proficiency in Excel and Microsoft Office.
  • Strong analytical skills with large data sets.
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Business acumen and problem-solving abilities.
  • Active listening skills and efficient time management.
