Fit Spec - Sweaters

Our client, a leading women's 'fast fashion' manufacturer, is looking for a Fit and Spec Technician with sweater experience to work with their Design and Production teams.

The prime responsibility will be to ensure all garments satisfy quality standards in terms of fit, construction, detailing and workmanship.

Responsibilities:

1. Creating initial Tech Packs in a clear, descriptive and timely manner.
2. Tech pack instructions will include target specs, graded specs, labeling and packaging information.
3. Conduct fit sessions on live models and communicate modifications to overseas suppliers.
4. Follow up with vendors to ensure that fit samples are sent in a timely manner.
5. Measure received samples and verify that all specs, fit and workmanship satisfy our quality standards.
6. Other duties include fabric and color approval.

Qualifications:

1. Diploma in Fashion Design or related field.
2. 3-5 years of experience as fit technician/pattern making/grading, experience with sweaters is a must!
3. Excellent knowledge of garment construction and fit.
4. Excellent knowledge of Excel and Outlook (Adobe Illustrator asset).
5. Strong organizational skills.
6. Detail-oriented with the ability to adapt to a fast-paced environment.
7. Strong communication skills in English.
