Job description

Our client, a leading importer of athletic apparel and accessories, is looking for a talented Fit and Spec Technician to join their team!


Responsibilities:

  1. Create tech packs and communicate with overseas suppliers
  2. Enter product information in PLM, to assist designers when needed
  3. Prepare fit comments on samples, and work with designers on comments to be sent to factories
  4. Organize some quality controls on samples and production
  5. Take sample measurements and list spec comments to be sent to factories
  6. Schedule fit sessions with designers
  7. Track samples and update tracking files based on maker information

Qualifications:

  1. Diploma in Fashion Design or related field of study
  2. Bilingual (English and French)
  3. Knowledge of Illustrator and Indesign required
  4. Proficient in the use of Word, Powerpoint, Excel, Outlook and other MS Office applications.
  5. In-depth knowledge of garment construction and fit (knowing technical garment is a real asset), patternmaking an asset
  6. Strong multi-tasking and time-management skills with a proven ability to prioritize.
  7. Great organizational skills
  8. Team player
