Job summary

Bass Pro Shops & Cabela's in Nanaimo, BC, seeks a Retail Outfitter to deliver legendary customer service and expert product knowledge. You will help customers choose products, promote programs, and keep the floor inviting with clean presentation and organized merchandise.

Ideal candidates have sales experience and a passion for outdoor living, with strong judgment and the ability to exceed customer expectations. This is a full-time, on-site role in a retail setting.

Qualifications

• One or more years' experience in a sales or service environment is preferred
• High school diploma or equivalent is preferred
• Ability to evaluate customers' needs and make recommendations based on needs
• Ability to provide superior customer service and exceed customer's expectations
• Ability to use good judgment and logic
• Experience in a related field or outdoor lifestyle
• Knowledge of Bass Pro Shops & Cabela's specific products is an asset

• Respond to and resolve customer issues by using good judgment and logic in solving problems and making decisions within the job scope
• Assist in other areas of the store when business needs dictate
• Demonstrate a passion for the outdoors by maintaining knowledge of trends and emerging technologies that relate to the outdoor lifestyle
• Assist in other areas of the store when business needs dictate

Summary:

Starting Pay Rate:

$18.25 - $20.25
