Job Description

We are seeking an Intermediate Fisheries Biologist/Aquatic Scientist to join our Vernon team. This role requires a background in fisheries and aquatic ecology, supporting our environmental team across BC and Northern divisions. Responsibilities include program design, project management, and client engagement, primarily on infrastructure projects, with some travel and remote work involved.

Responsibilities
  • Conduct assessments and coordinate field surveys.
  • Support multidisciplinary projects.
  • Prepare technical reports and workplans, and assist in proposal development.
  • Understand regulatory processes at municipal, provincial, and federal levels.
  • Contribute to business development efforts.
  • Mentor junior staff.
Job Requirements
  • Bachelor's or master's in Biology, Fisheries, or Aquatic Science.
  • Professional designation preferred (e.g., R.P.Bio., P.Biol., R.B.Tech.).
  • Experience with fish habitat assessments, habitat design, stream processes, and habitat interactions.
  • At least 5 years in environmental consulting.
  • Strong communication, organizational, and time management skills.
  • Valid driver’s license.
Compensation and Benefits

Salary range: $70,000 - $100,000, based on experience.
