Job summary

North Nova Seafoods is hiring for seasonal seafood processing roles. The wage is $17.00 hourly with 40 hours per week, and there are up to 100 positions. Work language can be English or French, with training provided for all new hires.

The team will handle canning, cleaning, cutting, and packing fish and seafood products in a fast-paced environment. Jobs are full-time during the season, with opportunities to gain hands-on experience in fish processing equipment.

Qualifications

• No formal education required; on-the-job training provided.
• Seasonal, full-time during peak season.

Responsibilities

• Cut, clean and trim fish or seafood prior to marketing or further processing.
• Check products and packaging for defects and ensure conformance to company standards.
• Disjoint and remove meat from lobsters or other crustaceans preparatory to canning or further processing.
• Record production information.
• Set up and operate machines to can, bag, box or otherwise package fish and seafood products.
• Set up and operate machines to clean, cut, cook, smoke, brine, dehydrate or otherwise process fish or seafood products.
