Job summary

Leesta Industries Ltd., now part of PursuitAerospace, is seeking a detail-oriented Quality Inspector to inspect first production parts from CNC operators at our Montreal facility. You will use verniers, micrometers, and CMMs (Mitutoyo/Zeiss) to verify dimensions against drawings and documentation, and document NCRs while supporting root cause investigations with production teams.

A technical diploma in machining or related training plus 2 years' experience is required; bilingual French/English

Qualifications

• Technical diploma in machining techniques or equivalent.
• Minimum of 2 years' experience in a similar role operating CMMs.
• Knowledge of GD&T.
• Ability to read and interpret English work instructions.
• Day shift availability 7:15am-3:15pm.

Responsibilities

• Perform visual inspections and approvals of initial production parts.
• Perform final inspections of complex parts to ensure compliance.
• Use verniers and micrometers to verify dimensions against drawings.
• Ensure dimensions meet specs from drawings, MPS, and APS.
• Operate CMM Mitutoyo and Zeiss for dimensional analysis.

Responsibilities

• Conduct visual inspections and approvals of all initial production parts manufactured by CNC operators and machinists.
• Perform final inspections of complex parts to ensure full compliance with technical and quality specifications.
• Utilize precision measuring instruments, including verniers and micrometers, to verify dimensions against engineering drawings and operational documentation.
• Ensure that all part dimensions meet specifications outlined in Engineering Drawings, Manufacturing Process Sheets (MPS), and As-Per-Set-Up (APS) documentation.
• Operate CMM Mitutoyo and Zeiss to perform detailed dimensional analysis.
• Investigate and analyze root causes of non-conformities, collaborating with production teams to identify corrective actions.
• Documentand process Non-Conformity Reports (NCRs) in accordance with internal quality management procedures.

Job qualifications

• Technical diploma in machining techniques or any combination of technical training and relevant experience;
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role, particularly in operating CMMs (Mitutoyo & Zeiss);
• Knowledge in CMM programming is an asset;
• Knowledge of geometric tolerances (GD&T);
• Bilingual (French and English) is an asset (Ability to readand interpretEnglish work instructions);
• Availability to work on day shift (7:15am-3:15pm)
