This unique training program bridges First Nations, Inuit, and Métis communities with Radio-Canada's regional stations. It provides Indigenous communicators the opportunity to share their voices across various platforms nationwide, promoting better representation of First Peoples in media.
The entirely virtual, paid training lasts four weeks (November 3 to November 28, 2025), focusing on narrative storytelling. Participants will learn from Indigenous and non-Indigenous trainers, express themselves, tell their stories, and showcase their communities, languages, realities, and successes.
The "First Peoples - Tell Us a Story" program is open to all French-speaking and Francophile Indigenous individuals with foundational communication skills who can enrich Radio-Canada's content across the country.
Participants can take the training from their preferred location, whether in their community or at a Radio-Canada regional station.
Over four weeks, candidates will engage with Indigenous and non-Indigenous professionals in various storytelling formats. Benefits include:
