Job summary

Steele Auto Group is seeking a motivated 1st or 2nd Year Apprentice Technician to join the Steele Mazda St. John’s service team. You will assist with inspections, maintenance, and diagnostics while gaining hands-on experience in a professional dealership setting.

As an apprentice, you will learn from experienced technicians, work on Mazda vehicles, and develop the skills needed for a successful automotive career. This is a great entry point for hands-on growth in a thriving dealership.

As an Apprentice Technician, you’ll assist with vehicle inspections, maintenance, repairs, and diagnostics while continuing to develop your technical knowledge and experience. You’ll have the opportunity to work with Mazda vehicles and build the skills needed to advance your career in the automotive industry. What You Will Be Doing:

From day one, you will roll up your sleeves and get hands-on with:

• Diagnosing and repairing vehicle systems (brakes, steering, suspension, drivability issues - you name it).
• Performing routine and advanced maintenance tasks.
• Working efficiently and independently in the shop.
• Keeping repair documentation neat, accurate, and up to date.
• Teaming up with seasoned techs to sharpen your skills.

What You Bring to the Bay:

• Passionate about the automotive industry
• Well organized, possess a good work ethic and a positive attitude
• Hard working, self-motivated and have excellent time management skills
• Have a valid driver’s license and be able to provide an acceptable driver’s abstract
