Starting Pay Rate

$19.00 - $21.00 per hour, based on previous experience and education.

Job Description

1. Prepare, season, and cook food as directed, meeting special dietary instructions as required.
2. Follow recipes and presentation specifications.
3. Provide guidance to lower-level cooks as assigned.
4. Operate standard kitchen equipment safely and efficiently.
5. Clean and maintain the assigned station and overall kitchen, practicing good safety and sanitation.
6. Adhere to all sanitation and food production codes.

Qualifications

1. Culinary degree and 2 years of cooking experience OR 5 years of related cooking experience.
2. Experience and proficiency in both à la carte and production cooking.
3. Valid food handler certificate.
4. Able to meet the physical demands of the position.
5. Self-motivated.
6. Able to work under pressure.
7. Excellent communication skills.

Visa Requirements

Must be legally eligible to work in Canada. The hotel cannot assist candidates in obtaining Canadian work authorization.
