We are currently seeking a Firewall-Palo Alto Network Security Sr. Advisor - REMOTE (MUST Support PST) to join our team in Vancouver, British Columbia (CA-BC), Canada (CA).

Role Responsibilities:

• The Firewall Network Security Sr Advisor will engage in daily maintenance and operations of the Firewall, Prisma.
• The Network Security Senior Specialist Advisor will work primarily with Network Security products from different vendors like Palo Alto.
• Design, confirm, determine and/or troubleshoot traffic flows, security implementation and configurations.
• Daily maintenance and operations of multiple customers’ network security infrastructure.
• Troubleshoot firewall and network traffic flows, maintain accurate documentation of network and security products, support activities and processes.
• Work independently and remotely when troubleshooting, solve problems with minimal client input, and escalate when solutions are not readily apparent.

• Work on Requests, Changes, Incidents, and Problem records to support our customers’ network security environment.
• Implement Network Security solutions and provide operational support in a customer environment.
• Expert knowledge on Palo Alto URL filtering, Vulnerability protection, AV, Anti-spyware profiles.
• Strong hands-on experience with the Panorama management.
• CLI skills to troubleshoot PA issues.
• Strong knowledge on App-ID, use of app filters.
• Expert in troubleshooting issues with packet captures, debugs on Palo Alto Firewalls.
• Troubleshooting experience around Palo Alto Firewalls, GlobalProtect issues.
• Provide technical escalation to L2 support engineers.
• Write custom queries on Palo Alto to fetch reporting data.
• Provide On-call support for high severity incidents in a 24x7 environment.
• Ensure that Service Level Agreements and operational standards are met.
• Perform system maintenance, checkups, and maintain current documentation.
• Provide resolution plans for device issues.
• Propose service, process, and technical improvements to management.
• Assist in Daily Steady State operations in request and change management as well as weekly on-call rotation support.
• Complete Weekly/Monthly Health Status checks across all support network security platforms.
• Work with multiple customers support environment to complete upgrades, patches, overall operational support.
• Assist in conducting rule set reviews to improve overall security footprint for our customers.
• Provide operational support of the Network & Security environments.
• Detect security issues, create customer tickets, and manage problems until closure.

** Must be willing to work in PST time zone in order to efficiently perform Operations tasks.

Required Qualifications:

• 12+ years Network Security Administration experience.
• Must have experience with Palo Alto, Prisma SASE (Secure Access Service Edge) solutioning.
• Palo Alto Networks Certified Network Security Engineer (PCNSE) certification.

Highly Preferred Qualifications:

• Excellent Time Management skills required to properly manage operations duties and other tasks that will assist in the optimization of the firewall team.
• Solid understanding of the template/stack architecture.
• Strong hands-on experience with the Panorama management.
• Ideal to have Command Line Interface (CLI) skills to troubleshoot Palo Alto issues.
• Experience working within and cross-functionally with multiple customers support environment(s).
