Job summary

Lake Country Co‑operative Association Limited is seeking a Full-Time Fireplace Service Technician for our Homes by Lake Country location in Prince Albert, Saskatchewan. The role involves installing and servicing gas, wood and pellet fireplaces, ensuring safety standards are met, and maintaining detailed service records.

The ideal candidate has experience in fireplace installations, plumbing or gas fitting, familiarity with carpentry tools, and a willingness to obtain WETT certification.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent; fireplace installations preferred.
  • Knowledge of carpentry methods, tools and equipment for fireplace installation and maintenance.
  • Willing to obtain WETT certification; training provided.

Responsibilities

  • Demonstrate safety-conscious behavior aligned with Lake Country Co-operatives goals and code requirements.
  • Provide Legendary Service at all touch points through multiple communication channels.
  • Collaborate with the Homes by Lake Country sales team to install and maintain fireplace systems.
  • Install new fireplace systems (gas, wood and pellet) per manufacturer specs and local codes.
  • Service and repair existing fireplace units, including venting and safety devices.
  • Perform routine maintenance and safety inspections.
  • Diagnose and resolve mechanical or operational issues efficiently.
  • Ensure installations and repairs meet guidelines and regulations.
  • Maintain accurate service records, parts used, and customer interactions.
  • Educate customers on proper use and maintenance of their fireplace system.
  • Assist with inventory management and ordering of parts/materials.

What You Will Do

Who You Are
  • High school diploma or equivalent; experience in fireplace installations, plumbing, or gas fitting is preferred.
  • Possess knowledge of methods, tools, and equipment used in carpentry and specialization in fireplace installations and maintenance.
  • Possess a strong understanding of safety regulations and procedures related to fireplace installation and maintenance.
  • Willing and able to obtain your Wood Energy Technology Transfer (WETT) Certification; training will be provided to successful applicant.
