Job summary

Regional Emergency Services within the Regional Municipality of Wood Buffalo seeks Firefighter Paramedics (PCP or ACP) or Non-Fire Trained ACPs to join our integrated Fire and EMS team in Fort McMurray, AB.

These roles provide advanced life support and emergency response across high-call-volume conditions. You will train, maintain certifications, and participate in competitive recruitment with a strong emphasis on safety, teamwork, and public service excellence.

Qualifications

• NFPA 1001 Level I & II required for Firefighter Paramedic positions.
• Current PCP or ACP certification (Alberta) required.
• CPR - Basic Life Support certification.
• High School diploma or GED equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Respond to emergency and non-emergency incidents per RES policies.
• Deliver high-quality patient care and EMS services.
• Collaborate with team and follow directives from officers.
• Perform station duties, equipment checks, and documentation.
• Support education, prevention and community engagement activities.
