A federal department in Canada is seeking a Firearms Officer to administer the Firearms Act. Responsibilities include investigating and making decisions on firearms licenses, conducting compliance inspections, and preparing legal documents. Qualifications

• Significant experience conducting complex investigations or inspections under a legislative framework.
• Significant experience preparing detailed correspondence for decisions or recommendations.
• Experience using Microsoft Office suite including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

Responsabilités

• Assist in administering the Firearms Act Canada under a designation from the Chief Firearms Officer.
• Investigate, analyze, and decide on firearms licenses and authorizations.
• Coordinate inspections of firearms businesses and private dwellings for compliance.
