Role Summary

Chubb Fire and Security is looking for a Level 2 Fire Technician to join the team. The main job duties and responsibilities of this role are to carry out verifications, inspections, repairs, and maintenance of fire alarm systems installed at our customers’ sites. In addition, this position will be responsible for the maintenance of various emergency systems, such as emergency lighting and portable fire extinguishers. On-call rotation and overtime would also be expected of the individual, as may be required.

Job Responsibilities

  • Independently perform quality work and recommend improvements to ensure that customer satisfaction is met.
  • Test and commission fire alarm systems to ensure that the building occupancy can be taken.
  • Complete various reports and documents related to the work performed.
  • Complete inspections of fire alarm systems as per Can/ULC S536
  • Complete verifications of fire alarm systems as per CAN/ULC S537
  • Complete fire extinguisher inspections as per NFPA-10
  • Complete emergency lighting inspections as per the local authority having jurisdiction.
  • Communicate with the customer and determine the nature of the problem or trouble with the fire alarm system.

Job Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent GED.
  • Minimum 2+ years of experience/knowledge in the electronics/electrical field or a related discipline.
  • Minimum 2+ years of experience servicing fire alarm systems.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills in English.
  • Must have a valid C.F.A.A certification.
  • Must have a valid Provincial Driver’s License.
