As a FireSafety Inspector, you will be responsible for inspecting buildings andfacilities to ensure compliance with fire safety codes, regulations, andstandards. Your role will be crucial in safeguarding public safety andpreventing fire hazards through effective inspections and enforcement.
KeyResponsibilities:
- Conduct inspections ofcommercial, residential, and industrial buildings to assess compliancewith fire safety codes, regulations, and standards.
- Review and evaluate firesafety plans, fire alarm systems, sprinkler systems, and other fireprotection measures to ensure they meet regulatory requirements.
- Identify and document firehazards, code violations, and safety deficiencies, and recommendcorrective actions to address issues.
- Prepare detailed inspectionreports and maintain accurate records of inspections, violations, and enforcement actions.
- Provide guidance and supportto property owners, managers, and business operators regarding fire safetypractices and regulatory compliance.
- Respond to firesafety-related inquiries and complaints, and investigate incidents orviolations as needed.
- Collaborate with firedepartments, emergency responders, and other municipal agencies to addressfire safety concerns and support public safety initiatives.
- Stay updated on changes infire safety codes, regulations, and industry best practices to ensureeffective inspections and recommendations.
Requirements
- Relevant certification ordiploma in Fire Safety, Fire Protection Engineering, or a related field.
- Proven experience as a firesafety inspector or in a similar role, with a strong understanding of firesafety codes and regulations.
- Excellent observational andanalytical skills for assessing fire safety systems and identifyinghazards.
- Strong communication skillsfor interacting with property owners, fire officials, and municipalauthorities.
- Detail-oriented with strongorganizational skills for managing inspection reports and records.
- Ability to stay current withevolving fire safety regulations, industry practices, and technologyadvancements
