Job description

Job Description: Fire Safety Engineer

Work Location: Office based / Site Based

Pay: €45,000 - €65,000

Experience: 3+ Years

Visa: EU passport or Stamp 4 visa required

Our client is a leading provider of engineering professional consulting and support services in Ireland, experiencing rapid growth.

The candidate will assist in Fire Safety Engineering design and monitoring of building and site development projects.

The role involves working on projects across sectors such as Transport, Leisure, Education, Commercial, Healthcare, Industrial, Storage, and Residential for both public and private clients.

Preference will be given to candidates qualified to attain the Chartered Engineer title with Engineers Ireland. Graduate Engineers and experienced professionals will be considered, with salary determined individually.

Responsibilities include:

  1. Developing fire safety strategies from inception to completion, on time and within budget.
  2. Technical report writing.
  3. Preparing and reviewing design drawings.
  4. Conducting fire risk assessments and surveys of existing buildings.
  5. Undertaking site inspections under BC(A)R 2014.
  6. Reviewing proposals and material submissions from contractors and design teams.
  7. Guiding and mentoring junior engineers and team members.
  8. Developing a professional network of colleagues and clients.

Requirements:

  • Postgraduate experience in a consultancy or similar environment.
  • Bachelor of Engineering (Hons) in Fire Safety Engineering or equivalent.
  • MSc in Fire Safety Engineering preferred.
  • Valid driving license and own transport.
