Job summary

RNA Fire Safety Ltd seeks a sprinkler system installer for on-site work in British Columbia. You will read blueprints, install sprinkler heads and piping, and coordinate with a small crew. A secondary school graduation certificate and up to 7 months of experience are required.

You will measure, cut, thread pipe, connect systems to water mains and equipment, install supports, supervise other workers, and perform service and repairs to ensure reliable fire protection for commercial sites.

Responsibilities

• Install sprinkler heads and mount prepared pipe in supports.
• Select, measure, cut, ream and thread pipe.
• Schedule materials, tools and personnel.
• Connect piping systems to water mains, supply tanks, pumps, compressors and control equipment.
• Install clamps, brackets and hangers to support piping system and sprinkler and fire protection equipment, using hand and power tools.
• Service and repair sprinkler system.
• Supervise other workers.
• Read and interpret blueprints, maps, drawings and specifications.
