Join to apply for the Fire & Life Service Technician, SCBA role at Levitt-Safety Limited

Levitt-Safety has an exciting opportunity for an experienced SCBA Technician to join our team in Oakville, ON. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality service, repair, and maintenance for SCBA systems, breathing air compressors, and other life safety equipment.

This position is based at the Oakville branch and involves both shop work and remote service at various customer locations throughout the GTA and Southwestern Ontario.

Main Responsibilities
  1. Provide prompt, efficient, and high-quality services to all customers, ensuring satisfaction and fostering long-term relationships.
  2. Inspect, maintain, and service SCBA systems, breathing air compressors, fall protection equipment, and other safety equipment, ensuring compliance with safety standards.
  3. Perform inspections, repairs, filling, testing, and maintenance of SCBA bottles and extinguishers, meeting industry standards and regulations.
  4. Manage gear and equipment pick-up and return, ensuring accurate tracking and prompt service.
  5. Conduct fit testing, annual flow testing of SCBA units, and maintain inventory of parts and equipment.
  6. Work with customers to expand service scope and develop efficient work schedules.
  7. Maintain records of equipment and gear, update software, and manage inventory levels.
  8. Ensure service vehicle is well-maintained and all documentation is complete.
  9. Complete HSSE reports, conduct safety checks, and participate in safety programs.
  10. Coordinate with service team to schedule work and manage inventory.
  11. Complete all paperwork accurately and on time, complying with standards.
  12. Be available for after-hours callouts as needed.
Qualifications
  1. Strong mechanical skills with experience in compressors, SCBA inspection, repairs, and cleaning.
  2. Basic electrical knowledge and experience with power and hand tools.
  3. Valid driver’s license and clean driver’s abstract.
  4. Excellent customer service and communication skills.
  5. Proficiency with technology and mobile devices.
  6. Ability to work independently with limited supervision.

Physical Safety Requirements
