Job Description
WHAT'S THE JOB?
We are seeking a Food Kit Specialist to support fire base camp operations by preparing and organizing meal kits for personnel working in emergency response settings. This role ensures that firefighters and support staff have access to nutritious, well-balanced, and efficiently prepared meals tailored to meet the demands of their work in rugged environments. The ideal candidate will have experience in food handling, inventory management, and logistics, with a strong ability to work in fast-paced, high-pressure conditions.
Y ou must be comfortable working in a remote bush camp setting. Bush camps are often hours away from any town, with limited to no cell reception and Wi-Fi. Must be comfortable sleeping in a tent and living in the outdoors as accommodations can range from a lodge to a tent depending on the site.

Work schedule and remuneration :
Fire camp workers must have the ability to commit to a minimum 2-3 week rotation. Site locations are in remote bush settings and may require tent accommodations dependent on the location of the fire activity in the region. You may be required to work nights, weekdays, weekends, and general holidays. Wages are paid on an hourly basis and include a starting rate of $22.50.
