A leading company in Thunder Bay is seeking a Fire Assay Technician for an entry-level position. This role involves working 12-hour shifts on a rotational schedule, performing various Fire Assay techniques while ensuring safety and quality protocols are followed. Ideal candidates will have a High School Diploma and the ability to work in a fast-paced, industrial environment.
Our Thunder Bay location is hiring a Fire Assay Technician to work 12-hour shifts on a 4 days on, 4 days off rotational schedule. The shifts will be from 8 AM - 8 PM or 8 PM - 8 AM.
This entry-level position reports to the shift Team Lead and involves working under supervision in the Fire Assay area. The technician will be responsible for maintaining tools and instruments used in the operation.
This role involves standing, sitting, lifting, and working in an industrial environment. Manual dexterity is essential for repetitive tasks. PPE is mandatory, and work will be conducted near fusion furnaces in hot conditions. The position demands working under pressure with tight deadlines.
Note: Periodic blood testing for lead exposure will be required.
