Description

Fire and Life Safety Service Technician

The Role

  1. Troubleshoot and repair a wide variety of fire and life safety systems, including fire panels, intrusion systems, emergency lighting, and intercoms.
  2. Perform inspections of systems and upgrades with accuracy to meet client needs and expectations.
  3. Uphold company and industry standards for quality within recognized guidelines.
  4. Resolve client concerns and provide exceptional client service, making recommendations where appropriate to ensure optimal system function.
  5. Maintain accurate service records, including detailed notes and inventory.
  6. Work comfortably at heights on ladders and lifts, in attics and crawl spaces, and lift 50+ lbs.
  7. Work safely in a construction site environment is required.

Qualifications

  1. Ability to troubleshoot, repair, maintain, and install equipment.
  2. Work with a high degree of accuracy and thoroughness.
  3. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  4. Motivated self-starter and effective team player.
  5. Must have a clean criminal record and a valid Driver's license.
  6. Experience in the fire industry or relevant education is considered an asset.

This is a full-time permanent position with a very attractive compensation package including benefits, pension matching, and other employee incentives. Positions are being filled in Dartmouth, Nova Scotia.
