A leading fire safety service provider in Timmins, ON, is seeking a Fire Alarm Technician to ensure system reliability and customer satisfaction. The ideal candidate will have CFAA Certification preferred, relevant training, and exceptional customer service skills. This role includes performing verifications on fire alarm systems and reporting on work in a timely manner, with an attractive compensation package offered.

Qualifications

  • CFAA Certification preferred.
  • Two years of community college in electronics is desired.
  • Previous training/experience in fire alarm systems or electrical background.
  • Proficient in the use of computers.
  • Must possess a valid driver’s license with a clean record.
  • Exceptional customer service and organizational skills.
  • Bilingual in English and French.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure system reliability and client satisfaction.
  • Perform verifications on fire alarm systems.
  • Complete work orders and report timely.
  • On-call for emergency service calls.
  • Act as liaison between customer and Troy.
  • Understand applicable codes and standards.

Responsibilities
  • The successful candidate will ensure that the highest standard of system reliability and client satisfaction are met
  • Perform verifications on fire alarm systems
  • Complete work orders and report in a timely fashion
  • On-call for emergency service calls / work
  • Act as liaison between customer & Troy
  • Understand and practice applicable ULC, CSA and Canadian Electrical codes and standards which apply to their area
  • Other duties as required
Qualifications
  • CFAA Certification preferred
  • Two years of community college in electronics is desired, or equivalent training or work experience will be an asset
  • Previous training / experience in fire alarm systems and / or electrical background
  • Proficient in the use of computers
  • Must possess a valid driver’s license and have a clean driving record
  • Exceptional customer service skills and organizational skills
  • Bilingual in English and French
