Job summary

BPA is expanding its Longueuil team with a building electrical professional focused on fire alarm systems. You will design alarm networks, prepare technical drawings, and support S/1001 testing efforts for existing buildings and new construction.

You will collaborate with an experienced fire alarm specialist, engage with clients on-site, and contribute to documentation, surveys, and BIM coordination using AutoCAD and Revit. A DEC in a relevant field is required, with 3–5 years of experience.

Qualifications

• DEC in architectural technology or electrical engineering.
• 3–5 years of relevant experience.
• Fire alarm design experience.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD; knowledge of Revit is an asset.
• Knowledge of the Canadian Electrical Code.
• Experience with S/1001 mandates is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Design fire alarm systems and prepare technical documents and drawings showing devices and system networks.
• Coordinate and perform S/1001 testing and produce the required reports.
• Participate in existing conditions surveys, drawing production in AutoCAD and Revit, and specification writing.
• Collaborate with the engineer leading fire alarm projects at the Longueuil office.
• Communicate with clients and conduct on-site inspections or tests as required.
• Perform other related tasks, including administrative duties.
