About FinOps

FinOps is a methodology that helps organizations optimize their cloud spending by bringing together finance, engineering, product and business teams. As a FinOps Engineer, you will play a critical role in implementing and maintaining FinOps practices within our organization.

What you'll do:

• Analyze cloud cost data to identify trends, anomalies, and opportunities for optimization.
• Develop and implement cost optimization strategies, including rightsizing resources, leveraging reserved instances, and automating cost controls.
• Collaborate with engineering and finance teams to promote cost awareness and accountability.
• Build and maintain dashboards and reports to track cloud spending and identify cost savings.
• Stay up-to-date on the latest FinOps best practices and cloud billing tools.
• Participate in the development and implementation of FinOps policies and procedures.

What we're looking for:

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• Experience with cloud cost management principles and practices (FinOps Foundation certification a plus).
• Experience working in SRE or DevOps role in some sort of capacity.
• Experience in Coding (Python, Go, Terraform).
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify trends and patterns in data.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Proficiency in cloud billing tools (e.g., Cost Explorer, BigQuery, Looker).
• Working knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) GCPpreferred.
