Job Description

Summary: The Finishing Site Superintendent will oversee the completion of interior finishes for one of our mid to high-rise residential projects. Working closely with the Superintendent, the successful candidate will ensure the project is delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

What You'll Get To Do

  • Oversee all finishing activities to ensure compliance with design drawings, specifications, and quality standards.
  • Monitor work progress and craftsmanship, ensuring exceptional attention to detail and adherence to project goals.
  • Collaborate with subcontractors, suppliers, and project teams to ensure timely delivery of materials and seamless execution.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for finishing activities, providing clear direction and resolving on-site issues.
  • Develop and maintain detailed schedules for finishing activities, ensuring efficient use of resources and adherence to project timelines.
  • Coordinate with the Superintendent to allocate manpower and equipment effectively.
  • Proactively identify potential issues, risks, or challenges, and develop practical solutions to mitigate delays or defects.
  • Review drawings and specifications for errors, discrepancies, and constructability concerns, addressing them promptly.
  • Ensure all work is performed in accordance with project rules, procedures, and safety regulations.
  • Conduct site inspections to monitor adherence to safety protocols and rectify any non-compliance immediately.
  • Implement and maintain quality control procedures to uphold high standards of workmanship.
  • Conduct regular inspections of ongoing work, addressing defects or deficiencies promptly.
  • Oversee final inspections, ensuring all punch list items are completed and handing over finished works to clients or stakeholders.
  • Provide guidance, support, and direction to project team members, fostering a collaborative and productive work environment.
  • Coordinate closely with the Superintendent and other stakeholders to ensure alignment across all project stages.

Who You Are

  • Bachelor's degree in Construction or a related field.
  • Minimum 5(five) years of experience as a Finishing Site Supervisor in mid to high-rise residential projects
  • Proven expertise in managing finishing activities for residential construction projects
  • Strong understanding of interior finishing processes, materials, and techniques.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office
  • Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams and stakeholders.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Ability to read and interpret design drawings and specifications.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to challenges.
  • Knowledge of safety protocols and regulations in the construction industry.
  • Proficiency in project management software and tools is considered an asset.
  • Ability to work on-site in various environmental conditions.
