The Finishing Operator is responsible for operating equipment in the Finishing Department, ensuring conformance to all health and safety policies, rules, regulations, and housekeeping standards. The role requires meeting or exceeding production, efficiency, and quality requirements at all times.

  • Operate Gluers according to work instructions and customer specifications.
  • Assist Adjusters and other Operators in make-ready and operation of equipment.
  • Perform troubleshooting and minor maintenance on Finishing equipment regularly.
  • Monitor supply levels and order through the Finishing Manager as needed.
  • Know and follow Finishing lockout procedures.
  • Complete quality checks to ensure only conforming products are produced.
  • Complete necessary paperwork accurately and promptly.
  • Perform general housekeeping and other related duties as required.
  • The Finishing Operator must successfully pass a colourblindness test.
  • Must be able to work a continental shift schedule (84 hours biweekly, rotating every 2 weeks between days and nights, 7-7).
