Job summary

HMECU Brantford Branch seeks a Financial Service Representative to build relationships with members across in-branch, phone and digital channels, proactively initiating conversations to support their financial goals.

You will assist with lending, investments and everyday banking, including loan applications and documentation, while ensuring accuracy, confidentiality and high service levels. Occasional travel to head office in Hamilton is required.

Qualifications

• 2–4 years of experience in financial services or a credit union environment.
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
• Demonstrated initiative and comfort engaging members proactively.

Responsibilities

• Connect with members across in-branch, phone, and digital channels
• Proactively reach out through calls, follow-ups, and outreach to deepen relationships
• Understand member needs and recommend solutions that support their financial goals
• Support members with lending, investment, and everyday banking needs
• Assist with loan and mortgage applications, including documentation and follow-up
• Process investment transactions and support renewals
• Identify opportunities to introduce additional products and services
• Contribute to individual and branch performance targets
• Support campaigns and initiatives that grow member relationships
• Represent HMECU at community events and build meaningful local connections
• Process transactions including deposits, withdrawals, and payments
• Provide teller coverage as needed
• Ensure accuracy, compliance, and confidentiality in all interactions
• Execute all cash handling, balancing, and security controls accurately to support sound treasury operations and safeguard assets

What You’ll Do

Build Relationships & Start Conversations

Hours of Work: 35 hours per week

Compensation Range: $39,800 - $59,700.00 + Eligibility for Annualized Incentive Plan
