Job description

We are currently seeking Financial Services Lawyers to work with Canada’s largest in-house financial and banking institutions.

Responsibilities :

  • Draft, negotiate, plan, and implement compliance policies and procedures for regulatory matters and business units.
  • Identify behaviors of concern in the financial services industry, draft business requirements documents, and conduct data analysis.
  • Communicate effectively with various stakeholders, managing complex terms in a simple and clear manner.
  • Assess, monitor, manage, and report on compliance risks, with a deep understanding of banking regulatory requirements.

Minimum Qualifications :

  • 4+ years of experience in the financial services industry, with knowledge of bank business lines and operational units.
  • Experience with derivatives, securities law, and related regulatory compliance is an asset.
  • Proficiency in drafting, reviewing, and negotiating ISDA Derivatives Master Agreements.
  • Experience with ISDA documentation within a corporate or financial institution is a plus.
  • Member in good standing with your respective Law Society.
