These individuals analyze client needs develop operational strategies and offer guidance and support to help clients streamline processes improve productivity and drive business performance.

As a Financial Services Capital Markets Director at PwC you will possess a broad understanding of various aspects of operations consulting. You will provide comprehensive guidance and support to clients in optimizing operational efficiency and effectiveness. Working in this area you will analyze client needs develop operational solutions and offer recommendations tailored to specific business requirements.

Meaningful work youll be part of

As a Financial Services Capital Markets Director you will be an integral part of our dynamic team leading critical projects and initiatives that address complex business challenges from strategy development to execution. Your expertise will drive transformative results for our clients in Capital Markets. Responsibilities include but are not limited to :

Client Relationship Management : Establish and nurture trusted advisor relationships with key financial services clients focusing on comprehensive business relationships across front office operations risk and technology functions.

Client focus within Financial Services will be centered on Financial Markets participants such as : Capital Markets Dealers Corporate and Investment Banking Asset Managers Commodities Corporate Trading Regulators and Market Infrastructure providers.

Market Analysis and Insight : Monitor industry trends and deliver actionable insights that empower clients to make informed strategic decisions and capitalize on emerging opportunities.

Leadership in business development : Spearhead sales preparation of project proposals points of view (PoVs) resource planning and project estimations for client engagements integrating X-LoS and global capabilities as required.

Client Engagement Delivery : Oversee the execution of client engagements ensuring effective stakeholder management optimal resource allocation and robust budget management for successful project outcomes.

Innovation and Efficiency : Identify opportunities to enhance efficiency and implement innovative practices across multiple projects and environments to drive delivery efficiency.

Team Development and Leadership : Champion the growth and development of the junior members through mentorship supervision coaching and recruitment. Support team members in realizing their potential and aligning their career trajectories with long-term aspirations.

Experiences and skills youll use to solve

Extensive Experience in consulting or industry roles with a focus on internal consulting in Wholesale Banking.

Background in corporate strategy consulting

An appetite for sales : identifying new opportunities and closing deals

Industry Network : A well-established network within the Canadian investment banking sector with a proven record of collaboration with senior executives.

Expertise in Investment Banking : Comprehensive operational knowledge of investment banking including sales and trading as well as corporate banking domains.

Strategic Leadership : Proven experience in partnering with senior executives to develop and execute business strategies.

Transformation Program Leadership : Demonstrated success in leading complex large-scale transformation programs for global investment banks.

Technological Proficiency : In-depth understanding of banking technology capabilities and key vendor landscape

Experience developing technology strategies and roadmaps including comfort with various frameworks and methodologies to enable the client to deliver as-is future state and transformed services.

Diversity and Inclusion Advocacy : A strong dedication to valuing diversity developing and mentoring diverse teams and ensuring that diverse perspectives are acknowledged and incorporated.

Matrix Management Skills : Ability to effectively manage teams in a matrix environment balancing competing priorities and client initiatives.
