As a Financial Services Assistant (Permanent, Full-Time; Start Date: Immediately; Location: Any Ontario Health atHome office within the North East), you will provide financial support services to the management and professional staff of Ontario Health atHome.

By applying your knowledge of financial services objectives, you will have the opportunity to play a lead role in providing connected, accessible, patient-centered care – supported by our collaborative team of over 9,000 healthcare and other professionals.

What will you do?

  • Provide financial support services to management and professional staff;
  • Verify Service Provider billing files for accuracy and compliance with contract terms;
  • Maintain high accuracy in preparing, entering, and processing financial information;
  • Learn new methods, procedures, and techniques;
  • Respond to inquiries from internal and external sources;
  • Collaborate with staff and managers to identify problems, handle complaints, and suggest improvements.

What must you have?

  • Post-secondary diploma or certification in finance (accounting, commerce, business administration) or equivalent experience;
  • Relevant experience in financial support services;
  • Understanding of office administrative processes;
  • Knowledge of basic accounting principles and financial systems;
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Teams, Outlook, Word, and Excel;
  • Ability to manage time, adapt, and organize work efficiently;
  • Knowledge of Ontario Health atHome’s objectives and procedures;
  • Ability to handle confidential information professionally;
  • Strong interpersonal skills for interaction with staff, vendors, and service providers;
  • Effective communication skills;
  • Proficiency in English (oral and written);
  • Must comply with COVID-19 vaccination policy.

  • Knowledge of Ontario Health atHome’s patient database system (CHRIS);
  • Understanding of services provided by Ontario Health atHome;
  • Ability to speak French or another second language.
