Job summary

1st Choice Savings is a full-service financial institution serving approximately 19,000 members across five branch locations in Southern Alberta. This Financial Service Associate role is the first point of contact for members, handling transactions and proactively identifying financial needs within a collaborative team.

You will greet members, process transactions, contribute to sales goals, promote the credit union locally, and maintain a high level of service.

Qualifications

• Post-secondary education in Business, Finance or Accounting.
• Minimum 1 year of customer service experience.
• Ability to work 20-30 hours per week with flexible scheduling.
• Strong interpersonal skills and attention to detail.

The Financial Service Associate is a key role that serves as the first point of contact for 1st Choice Savings members. The successful individual will help members with their financial transactions while proactively identifying their current and/or future financial needs. This role will be part of a team where the culture of member service delivery is first and foremost.

What You'll Do:

Engage and deliver the 1st Choice Savings brand promise by delivering consistent brand experience to members:

• Greet members, process financial transactions and participate in the daily activities of the branch to maintain a "member-centric" environment.
• Contribute to the team's sales and goals while maintaining a high standard of operational effectiveness, positive member experience and optimal sales performance.
• Promote and build awareness of 1st Choice Savings in the local community and within networking groups.

Who You Are:

• Post-secondary education in a related field (Business, Finance, Accounting, etc.)
• Minimum 1 year of customer service experience. Financial services industry experience is an asset.
• Ability to work 20-30 hours per week, with full scheduling availability.
• Strong interpersonal skills to be able to promote the credit union vision.
• Self-motivation with the desire to achieve a high standard of excellence.
• A passion for helping people and being part of a collaborative team.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Understands financial concepts and has digital acumen.
