Job description

A career in our Financial Risk Management practice will provide you with the opportunity to contribute to a variety of consulting and assurance services, designing solutions that address our clients' complex accounting and financial reporting challenges, as well as broader business issues, including hedging, risk management governance and strategies, capital market transactions, and regulatory requirements. Our team helps clients solve business issues and financial risks arising during their activities. We are an agile team, continuously growing and facing new opportunities across multiple industries. You will work as part of a problem-solving team, developing technical skills in complex accounting, treasury, risk management, capital markets products, and regulatory requirements.

Meaningful work you'll be part of

As a Financial Risk Management Manager, you'll work with a team of problem solvers to address complex business issues from strategy to execution. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Providing accounting advice related to IFRS and US GAAP, including hedge accounting and complex financial instruments assessment
  • Leading audit support and consulting engagements for key clients in areas such as hedging, debt and capital transactions, and derivatives
  • Evaluating and advising on risk management frameworks, policies, procedures, controls, tools, and solutions for financial and non-financial risks
  • Executing consulting assignments related to treasury and risk management strategies, organizational practices, and process improvements
  • Designing and implementing treasury and risk management control frameworks, including supporting internal audits
  • Participating in business development and marketing of treasury and risk management capabilities in Canada, including proposal writing, reporting, and presentations
  • Assisting in developing GenAI solutions to transform service delivery

Experiences and skills you'll use to solve

  • Extensive experience with IFRS and/or US GAAP
  • CPA designation or working towards it is required
  • Knowledge of financial markets, capital market products, derivatives, and treasury is preferred
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Advanced analytical, multitasking, and project management skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent communication skills, both oral and written
  • Experience in risk management, treasury, financial services, or regulatory compliance is a plus
  • CFA, FRM, or a Master's degree in Finance or Accounting is a plus
