Pitt Meadows Plumbing and Mechanical Systems Ltd. is seeking a Financial & Risk Analyst to join our Maple Ridge office. The role supports financial integrity, risk management, insurance, bonding, and compliance programs across the PMP group.

You will work closely with the Group Controller to identify risks, maintain controls, and deliver accurate reporting and management information. A CPA is valued, with 3–5 years of relevant experience in construction or project-based industries.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• CPA designation or CPA Program asset.
• 3–5 years progressive experience in risk management, contract administration, or related field.
• Experience in construction/engineering industry asset.
• Strong proficiency with Microsoft Excel and ERP/construction software.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Group Controller in identifying, evaluating, and monitoring risks across the group.
• Maintain the corporate risk register and monitor mitigation plans.
• Review contracts to identify financial, insurance, bonding, and contractual obligations.
• Coordinate contract execution and documentation throughout the project lifecycle.

We are currently seeking a Financial & Risk Analyst to join our team at our Maple Ridge office. Reporting to the Group Controller, support the financial integrity and enterprise risk management objectives of the PMP Group of Companies by delivering accurate financial reporting, maintaining effective financial controls, and administering the organization's contractual, insurance, bonding, and compliance programs.

Job responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Assist the Group Controller in identifying, evaluating, and monitoring financial, contractual, operational, and compliance risks across the group.
• Maintain the corporate risk register and monitor mitigation plans.
• Identify emerging business risks through communication with other departments and recommend practical solutions to reduce exposure.
• Monitor risk trends and communicate significant issues to management.
• Support the development of corporate risk management policies and best practices.
• Review client contracts to identify commercial, insurance, bonding, and contractual obligations related to financial risk.
• Coordinate contract execution and maintain contract documentation throughout the project lifecycle.
• Monitor contractual obligations and ensure compliance by internal stakeholders.
• Track and administer contract amendments and change order documentation.
• Maintain the group's centralized contract management system.
• Work closely with the senior management team to ensure contractual requirements are understood and fulfilled.
• Identify contractual risks and elevate concerns before they become financial exposures.
• Serve as the primary liaison with the group's insurance brokers and risk advisors.
• Coordinate annual renewals of all corporate insurance programs.
• Prepare underwriting information required for annual insurance renewals.
• Coordinate Certificates of Insurance for clients, subcontractors, vendors, landlords, and other stakeholders.
• Ensure appropriate insurance coverage is obtained for special events, company-owned homes, leased facilities, temporary locations, and other activities requiring additional coverage.
• Maintain accurate records of insurance policies, endorsements, and renewals.
• Coordinate insurance claims and maintain supporting documentation.
• Monitor insurance compliance across all operating companies.
• Coordinate annual bonding renewals with the group's surety provider.
• Prepare financial and operational information required for bonding facilities.
• Coordinate bid bonds, performance bonds, labour and material payment bonds, and related surety documentation.
• Maintain records of bonding capacity and active bonded projects.
• Facilitate communication between Finance, Operations, and bonding representatives.
• Coordinate contractor prequalification submissions across all operating companies.
• Maintain current corporate information, financial information insurance documentation, safety statistics, and supporting documentation required for submissions.
• Monitor renewal deadlines for contractor qualification platforms.
• Coordinate with Finance, Safety, Human Resources, Estimating, Pre-Construction, Construction Operations, and Shop Operations to collect required information.
• Ensure all submissions are accurate, complete, and submitted within required timelines.
• Assist with month-end and year-end close processes.
• Analyze financial results and investigate significant variances.
• Assist in preparing consolidated financial statements and management reporting packages.
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow reporting.
• Develop financial reports and dashboards that provide meaningful business insights to management.
• Continuously improve financial reporting processes and reporting accuracy.
• Perform other duties as required.

• CPA designation or enrollment in the CPA Professional Education Program is considered an asset.
• Three to five years of progressive experience in risk management, contract administration, or a related field is required.
• Experience within the construction, engineering, or project-based industries is considered an asset.
• Knowledge of financial reporting, internal controls, and risk management principles is required.
• Experience administering contracts, insurance programs, bonding, or contractor prequalification is considered an asset.
• Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office is required.
• Experience with ERP and construction accounting software (e.g., Vista, CMiC, or similar) is considered an asset.
• Experience with Microsoft Power BI or other business intelligence tools is considered an asset.

Compensation:
