Job summary

BDO's Toronto Bay Street office is looking for an Intermediate Associate to join the Financial Reporting & Insights team. You will prepare compilations, year-end working papers, financial statements, and supporting documentation for clients across industries.

You will prepare corporate (T2), personal (T1), trust (T3), and partnership tax returns, build client relationships, request information, discuss accounting matters, and respond to inquiries while meeting deadlines and delivering

Qualifications

2+ years of related experience in the public accounting industry.
Ability to manage multiple engagements and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Strong problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
Willingness to participate in business development and client service initiatives.
Experience across industries and a client-focused mindset.

Responsibilities

Prepare compilation engagements, year-end working papers, financial statements and supporting documentation for varied clients.
Prepare and review corporate (T2), personal (T1), trust (T3), and partnership tax returns.
Prepare information returns and slips (T4, T4A, T5) and CRA filings.
Build positive client relationships, request information, discuss accounting matters and respond to inquiries.
Identify and resolve accounting issues while meeting deadlines and supporting managers and partners.
