Position Details: Reporting to the Senior Manager, Financial Planning & Analysis as an integral part of the HCCA FP&A team, FP&A Associate assists the Finance Department in its role as the “control tower” of the company. The FP&A Associate is charged with building, maintaining, and enhancing financial projections and models to set and monitor profitability, revenue/sales targets, and expense budgets along with other ad-hoc analyses to inform and empower HCCA Senior Leadership in making key business decisions. This position also works collaboratively with other areas of the larger finance team, other departments, and senior leadership in establishing short, medium and long-term financial plans for HCCA. The position requires a strong understanding of business concepts, financial accounting, and financial modelling, and comfort working under limited supervision.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Develop, maintain and enhance financial forecast for business planning and regular/ non-regular financial projections .
• Collaborate with other departments to gather inputs on sales and revenue plans, funding composition and costs, risk and loss assumptions and related provisioning, expense structure and investment budgeting.
• Validate and review forecast inputs both within the Finance team and with HCCA Senior Leadership.
• Develop, maintain, and enhance automated FP&A dashboard for financial performance monitoring and reporting to HCCA Senior Leadership. Coordinate other teams to design financial and non-financial data flow into finance team for accurate and consistent reporting.
• Mine data and perform ad-hoc analyses to provide insight into past, current and future expected performance to support business decision making by HCCA Senior Leadership.
• Perform all other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required – BA/BS in Accounting / Finance / Business / Mathematics / Computer Science
• Minimum 3 years of professional experience – financial forecasting and modelling, financial/management reporting, communicating to key stakeholders and management of key financial metrics and results.
• Obtained or working towards professional designation such as CFA is preferred
• Financial modeling experience (product pricing and profitability, program or business unit profitability, building financial and business cases).
• Consumer finance industry experience preferred – auto finance, mortgage, credit card or banking
• Strong written and oral communication skills and ability to quickly establish credibility with all role levels, both technical and non-technical; Korean language skills are an asset.
• Core financial accounting and business skills; ability to establish links between operational and financial data.
• Superior analytical, quantitative and problem solving skills balanced with strong execution skills, exceptional attention to detail and quality.
• Expert Microsoft Office Suite user; strong Excel and Power Point proficiency required.
• Experience with large data sets and DB programming software/languages preferred (SAS, SQL, VBA macros).
• Experience with data analytics and data visualization tool (Tableau).
• Experience with Pandas and Pyspark is an asset.
• Must have the ability to challenge, when appropriate, existing practices and continuously improve processes.
