Financial Planning & Analysis Accountant (Permanent)

Location : Ottawa, ON, CA, K1P 5E7

Expected Salary : $65,514 to $98,271

Responsibilities :

  1. Support budget and forecasting activities, including:
  • Maintain and update the 5-year budget plan
  • Build and maintain the 12-month rolling forecast
  • Update weekly short-term cash forecasts
  • Collaborate with Project Managers, Cost Control, and Heads of Departments to identify budget needs
  • Implement group requested budget changes
  • Maintain Financial Planning and Reporting system (Vena)
  • Assist with reporting activities, including:
    • Variance analysis between budget and forecast
    • Contribute to business review reports
  • Perform other related tasks as required
  • The ideal candidate brings :

    • Post-secondary education in Accounting or Finance
    • CPA designation is an asset
    • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a financial role
    • Intermediate to advanced skills in Excel, proficiency in MS Office and ERP systems
    • Strong planning, prioritization, and deadline management skills
    • Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail and quality
    • Eligibility for Canadian Secret Security and ITAR Clearance
