Job summary

Canterbury Coffee in Burnaby seeks an experienced Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) professional to lead the financial forecasting, budgeting, and reporting processes. This position demands strong leadership skills and advanced proficiency with BI tools like Power BI.

  • A deep understanding of cost accounting, standard costing, and supply chain finance.

What You’ll Do
Financial Planning & Forecasting
  • Lead the organization’s forecasting framework, including models, assumptions, and processes
  • Develop short- and long-term financial models and scenario analyses
  • Establish forecasting cadence and lead the annual budgeting process
  • Deliver clear, forward-looking insights to support business growth
Leadership & Business Partnership
  • Lead and develop a high-performing FP&A team
  • Provide insights on cost management, inventory, and profitability
  • Translate complex data into clear, actionable recommendations
Reporting & Performance Insights
  • Build and maintain dashboards (e.g., Power BI) to track KPIs
  • Deliver monthly and quarterly reporting with variance analysis
  • Identify trends, risks, and opportunities to support decision-making
Process Improvement & Systems
  • Enhance FP&A processes using ERP and BI tools
  • Standardize reporting and improve data accuracy and efficiency
  • Partner cross-functionally to implement system and process improvements
Risk & Compliance
  • Maintain strong financial controls and support audit requirements
You’ll Bring
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field
