About the role

As a Financial Planner, you will focus on developing and deepening client relationships by providing high quality advice and service within the mass affluent market. Most importantly, you realize that your clients are your greatest asset, and your priority is providing investment and financial planning advice to help them meet their unique goals.

Following a comprehensive financial planning framework, you will be focused on investment sales and new client acquisition, as well as establishing business development opportunities with prospects and clients within the assigned market area.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Conducting in-depth reviews for clients including retirement planning, wealth accumulation, and estate planning, utilizing financial planning skills and tools to support clients’ financial goals.
  • Uncovering and solving client needs, delivering trusted financial advice regarding investments and retirement planning.
  • Identifying opportunities and crafting personalized financial strategies based on client needs.
  • Fostering engagement, educating clients, and delivering expert advice.
  • Collaborating effectively with peers, clients, and partners.
  • Building and maintaining long-term client relationships to ensure a great client experience.

Qualifications and skills needed:

  • Experience in financial planning and investment sales is preferred.
  • Completion (or progress towards) of the CIFP designation.
  • Accredited mutual funds professional in good standing with CIRO licensing (Investments Funds in Canada or Canadian Securities Course).
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Knowledge of market trends, economic conditions, and regulatory environment.
  • Bilingual in French and English, capable of serving both English and French-speaking clients.
