About the role

As a Financial Planner, you will develop and deepen client relationships by providing high-quality advice and service within the mass affluent market. Your clients are your greatest asset, and your priority is to help them meet their unique goals through investment and financial planning advice.

Following a comprehensive financial planning framework, your focus will include investment sales, new client acquisition, and establishing business development opportunities within your assigned market area.

Responsibilities include:
  • Conducting in-depth reviews for clients, including retirement, wealth accumulation, and estate planning, using financial planning tools to support their goals.
  • Uncovering and solving client needs, delivering trusted financial advice regarding investments and retirement planning.
  • Being self-motivated and goal-oriented to craft personalized financial strategies.
  • Building strong client engagement, educating clients, and offering insights.
  • Collaborating effectively with peers, clients, and partners.
  • Fostering long-term relationships and providing excellent client experiences.
Qualifications:
  • Experience in financial planning and investment sales (preferred).
  • Completion or progress towards IQPF designation within Quebec.
  • Accredited mutual funds professional in good standing with CIRO licensing (Investments Funds in Canada or Canadian Securities Course).
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Knowledge of market trends, economic conditions, and regulatory environment.
  • Bilingual in French and English, capable of serving English and French-speaking clients.

As an Investment & Personal Banking Specialist, you will contribute to the branch’s success by managing a portfolio of customers, focusing on establishing and deepening investment and banking relationships. Your role involves conducting comprehensive reviews, providing expert advice, and building lasting relationships.

Qualifications include:

  • Completion or ongoing pursuit of IQPF designation within Quebec.
  • Accredited mutual funds professional status with CIRO.
  • Minimum three years of financial planning and investment sales experience.
  • Proven sales management skills and ability to market Scotiabank.
  • Strong relationship-building skills.
  • Bilingual in French and English.
