  • This is an opportunity for candidates to express their interest in current and future Investment and Retirement Planner positions across our Durham Communities, including locations such as Whitby, Oshawa, and Port Perry. We are seeking individuals with a minimum of 2-3 years of licensed mutual fund sales experience, holding their Financial Planning designation (CFP or PFP) or nearing completion. Qualified applicants will be contacted for further review of their resumes.

What is the opportunity?

As an RBC Investment and Retirement Planner, you will develop relationships and create customized investment solutions for prospective and existing RBC clients. You will prospect and network actively, supported by internal partners who refer clients to you. Your creativity, motivation, and drive to generate new investment sales will enable you to provide exceptional advice and solutions that help clients achieve their long-term goals. With unlimited earning potential, you can shape your future and that of your clients.

What will you do?

  1. Provide tailored financial planning advice and solutions using our comprehensive range of investment and portfolio options, including proprietary and select third-party mutual funds.
  2. Acquire new clients and consolidate existing client assets.
  3. Connect clients with appropriate RBC team members to meet their ongoing needs.
  4. Develop external business referral sources through networking, marketing, and your centers of influence.

What do you need to succeed?

Must-have:

  • Financial Planning Designation (PFP or CFP)
  • Mutual Funds License (IFIC or CSC)
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in financial planning
  • Proven networking and client acquisition skills
  • Ability to build strong partner relationships
