What is the opportunity?

As a Financial Planner, Investment and Retirement Planning Assistant, you support the Financial Planner, Investment, and Retirement Planner in meeting sales objectives and related activities by providing value-added administrative support. You will provide responsive client contact management through telephone, fax, and email requests, as well as develop relationships with service partners to ensure operational guidelines are adhered to and transactions are processed efficiently. You manage office routines to maintain efficiency through effective management of files and records, gathering and preparing materials for presentations, meetings, and marketing initiatives.

The work environment is a combination of home office and branch, depending on the needs of the Financial Planner, Investment, and Retirement Planning in the Langley/Maple Ridge Market.

What will you do?

  • Provide superior responsive service to client fax, email, and telephone requests
  • Ensure accurate and timely execution and delivery of client transactions/requests
  • Identify key referral sources and demonstrate strong organizational awareness
  • Maintain personal commitment to updating skills and knowledge
  • Respond promptly to client requests to build loyalty and trust

What do you need to succeed?

Must-have

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in a service and sales support role collaborating with a sales team and responding to client requests
  • Exceptional customer service skills
  • Excellent communication skills, both oral and written, with good business writing abilities
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to multi-task and prioritize effectively
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook)
  • Experience with emerging communication technologies (web-based meetings, social media, digital banking, mobile applications)

  • Resourcefulness and ability to work independently
  • Energetic, enthusiastic team player attentive to detail
