Qualifications

  • 3-5 years relevant experience.
  • Eligible for registration with BC Securities Commission on IIROC platform.
  • Desirable but not essential: CIM, TEP, CPA, Canadian Securities Course, WME, CPH.

  • Identify member financial needs and solutions considering their wealth, goals, and objectives.
  • Use financial planning tools to prepare customized presentations and acquire new business.
  • Advise members on investment strategies and financial decisions.
  • Review portfolio performance and educate members about their investments.
  • Serve as a resource on financial planning, investments, insurance, taxes, retirement, estate, and succession planning.
  • Identify opportunities for personal banking, small business, and insurance, referring as needed.

As a Financial Planner, you will manage a portfolio of existing members and their families, building long-lasting relationships. You will conduct discovery meetings to determine member needs and translate complex investment options into effective solutions to help meet their financial goals.

What you'll get to do:

Key skills required:

  • CFP designation or similar industry planning designation;

  • Desirable but not essential: CIM, TEP, CPA, Canadian Securities Course, WME, CPH;
  • Experience with financial planning software, Morningstar, Salesforce;
  • Proven sales skills and ability to source business;
  • Advanced investment product knowledge and life insurance expertise.
