About the role

As a Financial Planner, you will develop and deepen client relationships by providing high-quality advice and service within the mass affluent market. Your clients are your greatest asset, and your priority is to offer investment and financial planning advice to help them meet their unique goals.

Following a comprehensive financial planning framework, your focus will be on investment sales, new client acquisition, and establishing business development opportunities within your assigned market area.

Key responsibilities include:
  • Conducting in-depth reviews for clients, including retirement, wealth accumulation, and estate planning, using financial planning tools to support their financial goals.
  • Uncovering and addressing client needs, delivering trusted financial advice regarding investments and retirement planning.
  • Being self-motivated and goal-oriented in identifying client needs to craft personalized financial strategies.
  • Building strong relationships, educating clients, offering insights, and delivering expert advice.
  • Collaborating effectively with peers, clients, and partners.
  • Fostering long-term relationships with existing clients.
Qualifications and skills
  • Experience in financial planning and investment sales preferred.
  • Completed the CIFP Diploma in Financial Planning or equivalent.
  • Accredited mutual funds professional in good standing with CIRO licensing (Investments Funds in Canada or Canadian Securities Course).
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Knowledge of market trends, economic conditions, and regulatory environment.
  • Bilingual in French and English, able to serve both English and French-speaking clients.
