Job summary

BMO Financial Group in Downtown Vancouver is seeking a Financial Planner to help clients reach their financial goals and build lasting relationships. You will provide financial planning and advice, with access to a portfolio of products and a collaborative support network.

Expect to lead business development, engage with customers to grow BMO’s client base, and work in a commission-based environment with comprehensive training and career development opportunities.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of relevant experience in financial services.
• Must meet provincial regulatory licensing/registration requirements for a Financial Planner.
• Advanced working knowledge of financial products and markets.
• Strong verbal and written communication abilities in English.
• Proven collaboration and teamwork skills.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
• Ability to influence outcomes and build client relationships.

Responsibilities

• Lead needs-based assessments to grow loyalty and identify opportunities.
• Prospect and develop new business through outreach and referrals.
• Engage clients to expand relationships across personal banking, lending, and investments.
• Recommend suitable solutions and coordinate with partners as needed.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of personal investment products and trends.
• Deliver timely, accurate service while meeting performance targets.
